I teach a range of different courses to suit all levels and interests from 1 day sessions to 10 week courses from beginners jewellery to make your own wedding rings or shorter 2 hour sessions for parties or hen do’s.

All courses are held in the beautiful Old School Hall at Yardley Hastings in Northamptonshire which is conveniently located within easy reach of Northampton, Bedford and Milton Keynes plus it’s just 10 minutes from Olney.

Stacking rings with gemstones!

Multi week jewellery making courses in Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes, starting in June are now live on my website. Suitable for total beginners and those with some experience are all welcome as the course will be tailored to your level.

7 hours a day engraving practice is a bit hard on your hands. It was great fun learning a new technique with Dario Batzella and jewellery tutor chums :

Visual inspiration that spurs you on to develop ideas is unique to everyone. I was chatting with one of my learners yesterday about how overwhelming it can be to just look at images of jewellery already in existence and to instead visit an art exhibition or other interesting places such as Kew Gardens.

Summer is coming! Add a little splash of colour to your outfit with my anodising aluminium jewellery making course next week.

Sea glass setting workshops are so much fun to teach. I love the way that everyone chooses the pieces of glass that go together in shape or colour to match their own style.

I had the privilege to guide Brooke and Ed in making their beautiful wedding rings on Friday in the Yardley Hastings workshop.

What inspires you to get pencil to paper or tracing paper and pencil to add ideas in your sketchbook?

Miriama and Siobhan finished their triple tube set rings yesterday. I love the colour combinations and they both did so well with filing the tubes to the right angles and soldering them together.

Stephanie was totally new to multi week classes this term and she’s completed two gorgeous pieces already. Can’t wait to see what she makes on the last session next week.

We do spend some time on the floor in the workshop stone hunting. Especially when your project is tricky and the stones are teeny.

Gill and Charlotte finished their statement pendants this week. They are just stunning and so much work went into making and polishing them.

I had the pleasure of teaching a spoon making 1:2 session on Friday and just love the pieces Stephen and his wife made.

New 4 week beginners silver jewellery making course in Great Linford and lots of one off courses suitable for all this spring / summer.

Chain making is one of my favourite sessions to teach. It’s really good for soldering practice and everyone always completes such individual pieces.

We started off the term with etching and here’s just a few of the results.

Design ideas for the one off cabochon stone setting courses. There are so many lovely stones to choose from in the workshops it’s like being in a sweetie shop.

Wow! 9 learners created these beautiful pieces on my one day course on Thursday. 7 were totally new to jewellery making but everyone made such stunning and different work.
